Totally crazy . . . .

Believe in yourself
and you will see
how happy and free
you were meant to be!
And the totally crazy thing is that when you do believe in yourself, things, material things, and dreams, without explanation, begin showing up in your life. You see, when  you truly believe in yourself, you stop living in the past and your regrets and sorrows disappear. You stop worrying about the future and your doubts and fears fall away. You stop focusing on what you're not and begin seeing all that you already are. Then, with your mind as calm as the glassy sea, you effortlessly think thoughts of gratitude for the present and for your dreams tomorrow. These thoughts will then do what all thoughts must do: strive to become the things and events of your life. But this time around, now that you believe in yourself, they'll have much less competition.

Totally crazy.

Happy Friday!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Whatcha thinking? . . . .

Someone once asked Marilyn vos Savant (who is known to have the highest IQ ever measured), what the relationship was between feeling and thinking. She said feeling is what you get for thinking the way you do. Fair enough, right? So why is it that so many people are miserable? Are we spending the majority of our time thinking miserable thoughts? And if so, how easy is it to turn our thoughts around so that we can begin to feel the happiness that we deserve? It's no secret that optimists tend to be happier people. However, pessimists do not have to live a life of misery. It's a choice. Begin to look at your daily stressors as a challenge, rather than a threat. Taking responsibility for those challenges will leave you feeling energized, rather than drained. Stop seeing yourself as the victim, and take control of the situation. And how cool is it that the result of that can lead to happiness? In my opinion, you don't need a high IQ for that!

"Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny."

Our thoughts are where everything begins. With this principle, you can bring virtually anything you can imagine into your life. You've heard this before....what you think about, you bring about. You want more love, more joy, more laughter in your life? If you are focusing on heartache, sadness and ill feelings, you leave no room for the good stuff! Give this a shot today......set those thoughts aside, and imagine your life, (not someone else's).....your life, full of love, joy & laughter. Watch as the players and props in your life are rearranged to bring you the happiness that you deserve.

What are your thoughts?
Choose them wisely!

5 Must-Read Life Lessons from Gandhi...

1. Be the Change
“You must be the change you want to see in the world.”
Be the example, be the leader.  If you lead properly people will follow, and together you will change the world.  Anyone can complain, anyone can blame, and most do, but if you desire to change, then “you” be the change.
2. Ask the Right Questions
“The power to question is the basis of all human progress.”
The quality of your life is in direct proportion to the quality of the questions that you dare to ask.  Are you asking the right questions?  Are you asking the right people?  You can’t get answers, without questions; you can’t make progress, without an inquiring mind.
3.  Always Act
“Have a bias towards action – let’s see something happen now. You can break that big plan into small steps and take the first step right away.”
If you’re going to be biased, be biased towards making something happen today.  Tomorrow never comes, any progress to be made, must be made today.  It must be made right now! If you don’t act now, you don’t have a future, just a longer today.  Gandhi said, “The future depends on what we do in the present.”
4. Forgive
“The weak can never forgive.  Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
It’s not “weaklings” who are quick-to-forgive; it’s those who are strongest.  The ability to forgive quickly is a sign of strength.  How strong are you? If you’ve been weak in the past, you can begin today to be strong.
5. Monitor Your Beliefs
“Your beliefs become your thoughts.  Your thoughts become your words.  Your words become your actions.  Your actions become your habits.  Your habits become your values.  Your values become your destiny.”
In short, your beliefs will create your destiny.  What do you believe?  What do you believe about yourself, your future, and your potential?  What you believe, you will surely become.

Your thoughts become your reality . . . .

....not just a little, but a lot! And not just the good thoughts, but the other ones too!

"If you see it in your mind
you will hold it in your hand."
-Bob Proctor
Do you realize what that means? That means that your future, beginning today, will NOT unfold based on your past or based upon the existing conditions of your life, but that it will unfold based entirely upon your thoughts and dreams, your beliefs and expectations.  This is why all things are possible! All things comes from thought, and your thoughts are determined by you.

How cool is that?

The power of words . . . .

All the pain of a human life is caused by words, as is all the joy. We create words to define our experience and those words bring attendant emotions that jerk us around like dogs on a leash. We get seduced by our own mantras (I'm a failure . . . I'm lonely . . . I'm a failure . . . I'm lonely . . . ) and we become monuments to them. We must stop choking ourselves with words, as to liberate ourselves from our own suffocating mantras. Make an attempt to clear these negative words from your mind. They have the power to sabotage your own happiness, and YOU have the power to change that. Replace these mantras with self-encouraging words (I believe in myself . . . I'm grateful for this day, and what I can do with it . . . I believe in myself . . . I'm grateful for this day, and what I can do with it . . . ).

When you have spoken the word,
it reigns over you.
When it is unspoken you reign over it.
-Arabian Proverb

Repeat after me . . . .

"You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select what clothes you're gonna wear every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That's the only thing you should be trying to control. Drop everything else but that. Because if you can't learn to master your thinking, you're in deep trouble forever."

Repeat after me........
I will not harbor unhealthy thoughts anymore.

"(My mind) is a peaceful harbor, the entryway to a fine and proud island, (which is my Self), that is only now beginning to cultivate tranquillity. If you can abide by these new laws, my dear thoughts, then you are welcome in my mind -- otherwise, I shall turn you all back toward the sea from whence you came."
