Totally crazy . . . .

Believe in yourself
and you will see
how happy and free
you were meant to be!
And the totally crazy thing is that when you do believe in yourself, things, material things, and dreams, without explanation, begin showing up in your life. You see, when  you truly believe in yourself, you stop living in the past and your regrets and sorrows disappear. You stop worrying about the future and your doubts and fears fall away. You stop focusing on what you're not and begin seeing all that you already are. Then, with your mind as calm as the glassy sea, you effortlessly think thoughts of gratitude for the present and for your dreams tomorrow. These thoughts will then do what all thoughts must do: strive to become the things and events of your life. But this time around, now that you believe in yourself, they'll have much less competition.

Totally crazy.

Happy Friday!
Have a wonderful weekend!

I do believe that if people would just start by saying
"it's fun," when it seems hard;
"I'm happy," when they seem sad;
and "I know," when it seems as if they don't,
they'd finally discover
that it really is,
they really are,
and they always have.

Fake it 'til you make it . . . .

Celebrities always look so confident, don't they? I have so often read articles in which many of them confess that they do not feel as confident as they seem. We all suffer from low self confidence from time to time. There will always be days when we are just not feeling it. But it truly is all in our minds. It's about the way we perceive ourselves, and the ability to feel it lies essentially in our own hands. How cool is that? If you see yourself as an attractive person who is capable and energetic, others will see you the same way.

Believe in your abilities! Give yourself credit for what you do. The more you value that, the more you will build self-assurance in what you have to offer.

Be grateful! At the end of every day, write down three things that you are grateful for, and make it a habit to appreciate life! Being grateful churns out happiness, which leads to a more confident person.

Take care of yourself! If you look good, you'll feel good. Period.

Fake it 'til you make it! If you act like a confident person, you are more likely to become that person. Positive self-talk will help you build the self confidence that you yearn for. Stop criticizing yourself. Remind yourself that you are beautiful and talented until you believe it.

without your consent."

Look ahead . . . .

"To dwell upon what
might have been
is perhaps the greatest sin."
Before you, just up ahead, lies forever. It's a sparkling, magical time and place filled with smiles, laughter, and new friends. A place filled with second chances and new circumstances, where every dream you've ever dreamt will come true. A place of endless discovery, boundless potential, and blissful peace. It's opulent, it's colorful, and it's easy. It's sunny, shady, and breezy. Happy, carefree, and infinite, and you're going to be there for a really, really, really long time. So lighten up, get over it, look ahead, and get jiggy!

And don't you know it? Yet you still look back! Well, next time you do, give yourself some credit. All things considered, you did a great job. You did your best, given what was then your understanding of life. And because of where you've been, conditions are now perfect, you're poised for greatness! Everything that had to be learned, you learned. You're now ready, willing, and able. And oh, my gosh, you're going to be so happy!

Your thoughts become your reality . . . .

....not just a little, but a lot! And not just the good thoughts, but the other ones too!

"If you see it in your mind
you will hold it in your hand."
-Bob Proctor
Do you realize what that means? That means that your future, beginning today, will NOT unfold based on your past or based upon the existing conditions of your life, but that it will unfold based entirely upon your thoughts and dreams, your beliefs and expectations.  This is why all things are possible! All things comes from thought, and your thoughts are determined by you.

How cool is that?

Some things have to be believed to be seen . . . .

There's a lot in this world we can't see. But just because we can't see something, or hold it in our hands, doesn't mean it's not there. We used to think that "seeing is believing," but now we know that "believing is seeing." As architect Frank Lloyd Wright put it: "The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen." This is especially true in difficult times. There are days when all you can see with your eyes are the problems. But if you look with your heart, you will see that the miraculous is all around you. Despite our problems, there is still so much courage, goodness and possibility in each of us that if we could see its glow, it would light the world.

In good times or bad, the story of the human spirit is the story of people who believe in themselves and in one another. Today, give your family and friends the gift of affirming your faith in them. Remind them that their hopes, dreams and aspirations are not just believable, but achievable. Inspire them to believe that the best is yet to be...that there's light at the end of the tunnel...and that they might be that light for someone else.

Unrealized dreams . . . .

An elderly man, in the final days of his life, is laying in bed alone. He awakens to see a large group of people clustered around his bed. Their faces are loving, but sad. Confused, the old man smiles weakly and whispers, "You must be my childhood friends, come to say good-bye. I am so grateful." Moving closer, the tallest figure gently grasps the old man's hand and replies, "Yes, we are your best and oldest friends, but long ago you abandoned us. For we are the unfulfilled promises of your youth. We are the unrealized hopes, dreams and plans that you once felt deeply in your heart, but never pursued. We are the unique talents that you never refined, the special gifts you never discovered. Old friend, we have not come to comfort you, but to die with you."
-Les Brown

The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don't define them, learn about them, or even seriously consider them as believable or achievable.
-Denis Waitley

"I believe in you." . . . .

What's the best way to let someone know that you're pulling for them, you're proud of them, you believe in them? The biggest ideas in life are often expressed in the fewest words. Throughout the centuries, "I believe in you" has remained a treasured expression of faith and confidence in the human spirit. Spoken softly and sincerely from the heart, those four little words or their equivalent have probably sparked more dreams, ideas, and discoveries.....awakened more artists, inventors, and leaders, and colleagues.....and inspired more companies, communities and countries than any others. Each of us knows how it feels to dream and to doubt. "Our doubts are prison guards," wrote Stephen Crane. "They keep us from the light and the warmth and the sky."

Take it upon yourself to remind one another of the dreams that each of us aspires to. It's more than a great tradition; it's the way set each other free.

True lies . . . .

In Steve Chandler's book, 100 Ways to Motivate Yourself, he describes a time when his 12 year old daughter participated in a school poetry reading in which she had to write a "lie poem" about how great she was. She was to make up untruths about herself that made her sound unbelievably wonderful. By "lying" to herself, she was creating a vision of who she wanted to be. He states that most of us are unable to see the truth of who we could be. His daughter's school developed an unintended solution to that difficulty: If it's hard for you to imagine the potential in yourself, then you might want to begin by expressing it as a fantasy, as did his daughter. He sums it up this way -- Think up some stories about who you would like to be. Your subconscious mind doesn't know you're fantasizing (it either receives pictures or it doesn't). Soon you will begin to create the necessary blueprint for stretching your accomplishments. Without a picture of your highest self, you can't live into that self. Fake it until you make it. The lie will become the truth.

By now, you already know that this works both ways: if you are continually telling yourself that you're not good enough, that you can't accomplish a task, or that you will never reach your goals, it too becomes your reality. Believe in yourself and what you are capable of doing. You have many talents! Believe in them, and cultivate them! Nurture them ♥, and you will see that your dreams can become your reality.

About the book: Live the way you've always wanted to live! 100 Ways to Motivate Yourself is packed with techniques for breaking down negative barriers and pessimistic thoughts that prevent you from fulfilling your goals and dreams. Motivational speaker Steve Chandler helps you change your way of thinking and turn it around to what "will be." His ideas will help you create an action plan for living out your vision.

Choose to believe . . . .

Choose to believe in the originality of you.....
your willingness to stand out from the crowd.....
your unique perspective on what's happening in the world and in your life.

Choose to believe in the wisdom of you.....
the way you trust your intuition......
your unfailing commitment to doing the right thing.

And most of all,
Choose to believe in the heart of you.....
the genuine compassion, empathy, and friendship you offer to everyone you know.

You have the power . . . .

Happy Friday!  Is your day shaping up the way you would hope? If not, ask yourself what one thing you could do today that would make a positive difference in your life and the lives of others. First of all, begin by adjusting your attitude.  What are you telling yourself today about who you are and what you can do? Do you believe that you can't make a difference? That you have no power? That you're not important enough? I read an article recently that said "Until you can recognize the magnificent potential that is locked up inside you, strapped down by all those negative beliefs, you will not be able to release it and live to your full potential." Thank you Johan Campbell! How amazing is that? His article goes on to say, (and I'm paraphrasing); We are so busy trying to please other people, often at the expense of our own desires, that we have no time for our own happiness. This you must know..... there are people who love you, there are people who care about you but until you learn to love yourself, until you learn to care about yourself, until you learn to respect yourself, you will never truly appreciate the love, care and respect of others.

You have the greatest power of any living thing on this planet. You have the power of choice. You have the power to choose how to behave, what to say and when to say it. You have the power to control your attitude. You have the power to make a difference.

Act as if what you do
makes a difference.
It does.

Make no mistake . . . .

Finding the positives about your self can be difficult, even when you consciously focus on the task. But make no mistake: At the core of every human being is a uniqueness, individuality, and distinctness that demand to be expressed. You are no exception. However deeply your individuality may be buried...no matter how lost or non-unique you may feel, you are in there. Once you have found your way back to the you that has been buried under a mound of world experiences and self-pounding, hang on. Hang on, because you aren't going to believe what is about to happen in your life as you claim the power of refining your personal truth, knowledge, and personal power.
