Mistakes are a fact of life . . . .

You've got to have an atmosphere
where people can make mistakes.
If we're not making mistakes,
we're not going anywhere.

-Gordon Forward

We have all failed many times, although we may not remember. You fell down the first time you tried to walk. You almost drowned the first time you tried to swim, didn't you? Did you hit the ball the first time you swung a bat? Babe Ruth struck out 1,330 times, but he also hit 714 home runs. We can't worry about failure. Our biggest worry should be about the chances we miss when we don't try.

And how true are these words from Dan Ward?........Rather than acknowledge a mistake, nations have gone to war, families have separated, and individuals have sacrificed everything clear to them. Admitting that you are wrong is just another way of saying that you are wiser today than yesterday.

Mistakes are a fact of life.
It is the response to the error
that counts.
